Making up over 80% of our business, group retreats and events are our specialty. Our team consists of seasoned retreat veterans that have been on every side of the retreat experience, so we know what it takes to organize a meaningful and successful retreat. Frequently Asked Questions

How many guests can I bring?

Our group retreat contracts require a minimum of 8 participants (not including hosts). Our maximum capacity is 40 guests (including hosts) with shared occupancy. We build your contract based on your estimated guest count and adjust the number up or down after you've had time to sell your retreat. Within 30 days of your retreat, this adjustment window closes, and accommodations are locked in. 

Can I change the menu?

Our menu is pre-set based on seasonal ingredients and availability, so we do not change menus based on group requests. However, our kitchen can accommodate most dietary allergies (not preferences) for your individual guests. Our menu is vegetarian, dairy free, and low in gluten. 

How do meal plans work?

Our contracts include breakfast and dinner service. Lunch service can be added for an additional cost, but most groups enjoy the flexibility of dining in town or ordering from our Cafe at lunchtime. Adding a plated lunch service is only recommended for groups with more inflexible schedules such as yoga teacher trainings, corporate off-sites, and retreats that don't leave the property much.

How do payments work?

To secure your group dates, we require a deposit of 20%. We then require a 40% deposit 90-days prior to your retreat start date. The final contract payment is due on or before your start date. For any cash-only group activities such as excursions and ceremonies, we require your cash payment upon arrival.

How will you support me?

Regardless of group size, all hosts receive our signature Host at Peace planning support. From the time your contract is signed until your last airport shuttle leaves, you'll have a point person on our team to guide you as you gather guest information, create your retreat schedule and navigate guest questions. With this level of support, the idea is that you also get to have your own retreat while hosting a retreat, so let us handle the logistics.

How do hosts build their retreat schedule?

Having seen hundreds of group retreats grace our space, we know what works. We recommend (and don't recommend) specific activities and timing based on season, climate, location, and availability. As part of our Host at Peace support package, you'll have access to optimized retreat schedule templates which you can use for inspiration as you work with us to build your own custom retreat schedule.

What if I don't get sign-ups?

Although it’s unusual for a retreat host not to get sign-ups, it has happened. For that reason, we offer flexibility with your guest count and even dates, when possible. We will work with you to adjust your needs based on your group numbers and wants. Within a reasonable time frame, we can often delay a retreat or transfer past payments to stay credits. Bottom line, we'll work with you to find solutions that feel good for everyone.

How much should I charge for my retreat?

Our pricing structure offers a flat-fee for all four of our accommodation options. Most hosts use multi-tiered pricing (Casa Verde lowest tier, Bungalows highest tier) to sell their retreat. With our flat-fee pricing structure, you can simply add-on your miscellaneous expenses (i.e. marketing, travel, tuition, your time, etc.) to your sale price. We’re available to offer you guidance with this process, should you need.
